TLCIL is working on the creation of a Sensory Garden here in Saranac Lake.
A sensory garden is a beautiful garden consisting of plants and flowers, as well as other textural objects, that stimulate and engage the five basic senses of sight, smell, sound, touch, and taste.
The sensory garden will be fully accessible so that everyone in the community can enjoy it.
We are currently working with the folks at Adirondack Riverwalking to determine a location and to work on the design of the garden.
We’re hoping to see the garden located near River Side Park. This would be a perfect location for people coming to visit Saranac Lake as well as people who live here all year around.
